Ive heard that visiting schools is very important because the school might not be the right "fit". have any of you attended schools you did not visit before hand? one more thing, what kind of questions are brought up during interviews?
-thanks!

milbrat, im sure some students attend schools site unseen, especially international students. imho, it would be imperative that you visit the schools. Be careful, name should not equate to fit. Good Luck!

You should definitely tour if you can. I had a lot of schools that I toured that I didn't even bother applying to because it didn't feel right and I knew I wouldn't be happy there. I know a couple kids who didn't tour, and are perfectly happy at their schools.

During the interview they ask about your current school, extracurriculars, interests, what other schools you are applying to, and they just go from there. Each school is different, at Andover I wound up talking about stem cell research for a while. Some interviewers ask hypothetical questions like "if you could be one person in history who would you be?"

One piece of advice is to interview from your least favorite school to your favorite so that you have practice before you get to the more stressful ones.
