My D and I will be visiting next week. I would like a restaurant recommendation. Nothing fancy. Looking for a restaurant that the college kids go to. Good food, not a dive, decent prices. I like for her to be able to see herself going there with her friends. We like all kinds of food. Any suggestions? Thanks!

There are some seriously great restaurants in Bloomington, but as far as ones that students regularly go to, I would try Farm, Scotty’s, Little Zagreb’s, La Charreada, Japanee, or Uptown Cafe.

Can’t forget Mother Bear’s!

As a current student, I’d recommend Nick’s, Opie Taylor’s, La Charreada, Mother Bears, Or Scotty’s

I think Scotty’s and Nick’s are both really great restaurants for first-time visitors. If you like Italian food, Grazie is so so good but a bit on the pricey side.

I’d recommend going to Siam House. It’s Thai that is very popular with both college students and regular Bloomington residents. Ive enjoyed my experiences there. I think it’s much better than the more generic restaurants.

Look at different reviews on Yelp or Google Places to get a better idea.

When I visit, my daughter and her friends usually request Malibu Grill (great location, nice outdoor seating area if the weather is nice) or Scotty’s. I also love The Farm for good, local, organic food. And my favorite breakfast spot ever is Scholar’s Inn Bakehouse on College Ave.

Thanks for all of the suggestions, I’ll check them out!

might be too late, but try samira, it’s an Afghan place

Also consider Restaurant Tallent, although it will be a bit pricier.
