Visiting Rice

I've been looking at Rice for a long time now and definitely see it as being one of my top choices. Since I've already been to two info sessions and submitted my part I for interim, should I visit the campus now or later if I'm admitted? Is there a certain atmosphere I could pick up only if on campus and/or how does being in the middle of a huge city feel like? My school only allows 2 excused days off per semester for college visits so I don't know if I should spend any on Rice since it's already one of my sure favorites.

Rice actually doesn't feel like it's in the middle of a big city. It is big, big, and green, with lots of trees, and only limited access streets running through campus. It feels pretty pastoral actually - although there is plenty of city that you can get to once you leave campus. I think you can wait to visit until after you see if you are admitted. Then, definitely go to the admitted students weekend.

yes lots of trees. They claim that they have a tree for every undergraduate on campus.

If you are definitely applying, then you don't gain anything by visiting now. The only reason to visit now would be so that if you hate it, you don't have to finish completing part 2. But you seem to have done your research well enough by attending 2 info sessions, so i think it's perfectly fine to wait. Plus Owl Weekend (admitted students weekend) is lots of fun, and you meet so many people then.
