Visiting Schools: Sitting in on Classes... Help?

I am currently planning my Spring Break--a trip down the East Coast for college visits--and I have a question:

On the Yale site, there are details about sitting in on classes. Just check the schedule and walk in (reservations first for small classes though).

I can't find any directions on how to visit a class, however, for Princeton, NYU, or JHU. Are they the same as Yale?

I would really love to get a feel for the classes at each college, so any help regarding this matter would be much appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

Bump.

No advice? NO ONE has visited classes at Princeton?! Really?

My son sat in on a class in the molecular bio department at Princeton last fall. The department actually welcomes visitors/high school students, and since he's very interested in that field he contacted them. He met a professor, then attended a class. They were very nice and gave him good information about the work they do there. I think it was a great experience for him, regardless of him getting in or not. Check the department websites that you are interested in and contact them directly, versus going through the admissions office.

Thanks for the info!! I'll do that.

What a coincidence: I am interseted in visiting molecular biology too.

I live in Princeton. I think you're allowed to just walk around, but you should contact the office first.

Yeah, I wasn't worried about visiting in general, but rather sitting in on classes. I didn't want to just barge in on the profs.

When I visited, they handed out a sheet with classes broken down by location and time. I sat in on a class. It's fine.

Oh, okay! Thanks so much!
