Visiting Student Programs

Does anybody know of any good visiting student programs in the US? I know that Pomona and Tufts offer programs such as this, but do not know of any others. Thanks.

Just come to Tufts already ;-)

I would LOVE to study at Tufts for a semester, but am trying to come up with some backup programs for if that deoes not work out. Do you go to Tufts? Are you familiar with the program by chance?

I do go to Tufts -- I'm a senior now. A friend's friend from Cornell spent a semseter here and she loved it. She's been back in Ithaca for a few weeks now and says it's hard to get used to the boonies again. Overall, her time in Boston was excellent -- she said it made up for not beinga ble to go abroad (she's partially deaf and can't learn another language at this stage, so she wanted to stay in the US). All her credits transferred and she had an advisor here who coordinated with her advisor at home so Tufts made it very easy and therefore enjoyable for her b/c she didn't have to worry about the bureaucratic side of leaving Cornell for a bit.

Where do you go to school now? In the US or abroad? What are you intersted in studying? What do you study now?

According to your post history on CC, you're also posting in the Transfer Students forums -- are you interested in transferring or in visiting students programs? The experience I illustrated above was the latter... but I also know people who've transferred here from all over and love it! So I can talk about that too if that's what you're looking for.

I actually attend Northeastern University - just a few T rides away from Tufts. For some time I have considered transferring but have decided that I would like to stay at NEU. Even still, I would love to have the opportunity to study at another university for a semester with a top tier economics program, and certainly Tufts offers this. Hopefully a high gpa, along with some good recs. etc will help get me there..

Thats good to know that all of your friend's friend's credits transfered. Thats one of the questions I had about programs such as this.

By the way, sorry this isnt about transferring per se. I just figured this would be the most appropriate forum for such a post.
