Visiting Students & J-term

Hey guys, I'll be a freshman at Bowdoin next year, and I recently became cognitive of the "j-terms/jan plans" that schools like midd and colby offer - but not bowdoin. (i remember hearing about it on the tours and brushing it off assuming all schools had it) i think it's a fantastic idea and i was wondering if anyone knew if visiting students are able to take classes at midd during j-term?

any input at all would be appreciated :) thanks guys!

Beyond study abroad opportunities, summer language program and Bread Loaf, I don’t think non-midd students can take classes at Middlebury. However, I am not sure about local high achieving HS students. This would include J-Term classes which seem very specific to the curriculum at Midd (where they carry a credit). Not all Jterms are credit bearing (Amherst doesn’t offer credit). Beyond the academic part of the equation, I think housing would be a huge issue for students who didn’t attend Midd. Since all of JTerm is included in comprehensive fee, I have seen nothing about a break out per credit hour or whatever that would indicate to me that anyone outside of Midd students, etc take courses at the school.

All of this said… I could be totally wrong. :)
