Visiting these southern LAC's for Spring break, what should we be sure to see/notice?

We are headed out soon to go see Agnes Scott, Furman, UNC Asheville, Wofford, Guilford, Elon, and Davidson.
Any advice on specific things to notice about these schools?
We are hoping to find a school that has a more laid back feel, but still has very smart, active, and academically engaged students...in the south, but maybe liberal leaning/not too conservative. Hopefully this wonderful school will also have a lot of activities, shows, lectures, etc available. Not too much to ask, right? ;-)

You’ve got a great list of schools for what you’re seeking. Yes, they’re in the South, but most of these will be on the liberal side (ask Elon students what they think about Amendment 1!). Some of these are more remote than others - is having ready access to a city important? What about Greek life - is that desired, don’t want, or don’t care? Will the student have a car? If not, does the school provide adequate shuttles to get where needed? (Public transportation doesn’t exist near a lot of these schools). I know that Guilford and Elon have very active events calendars - you can go online to the schools and see what they have for performances/lectures and such, but also look at the posters plastered around campus. Looking to join any specific organizations/practice a particular religion - ask what’s available on or near campus.

Thank you @inogoMontoya. Good points. I do think that my D might find some schools too remote. A car is a possibility, not sure yet. Greek life she seems to not be interested in, but doesn’t seem to mind if it exists, although I’m not sure if she understands how much Greek life can dominate a school’s social scene (or if I tend to over estimate that). We will definitely notice those bulletin boards/posters and ask about transportation issues.
