Visiting tips

I’m probably gonna visit Penn these vacations. Any tips on things/places I should see? ( btw I’m 100% decided on penn, I just want to check out the campus etc before I apply ED)

Look for the bio pond! It's hidden, but it's beautiful, waterfall and all. It's like a little oasis in the middle of the city.

heh biopond...

get a look at every college house, not just quad;

take a walk through the academic buildings most applicable to your school (college: williams hall, college hall, logan hall, meyerson hall; engineering: david rittenhouse labs, towne building and rest of complex; wharton: huntsman hall, steinberg-dietrich hall; nursing: nursing education building)

note that some of those buildings are used by all schools (drl, meyerson, etc.).

check out the libraries, the bookstore (and not just the apparel section), the gyms, anything that looks interesting on the campus map.

thanks, and anything that I should see regarding the city? ( any good places to party while I'm there hehe?)

well, i have a patented 2-3 hour walking tour of the city (used successfully with prefrosh friends) but just make sure to look around center city, south broad near the arts stuff, logan circle up to the art museum along the ben franklin parkway, and all those nice touristy places in old city.

as for parties... wait until next year when you can go in groups and explore together...
