Visiting Tulane and New Orleans

Oh Yeah don’t forget it’s St. Patrick’s day weekend! <a href=“St. Patrick's Day New Orleans Parade Information”>http://www.stpatricksdayneworleans.com/icp.html</a></p>

My son worked as a bus boy @ Domenica. Good choice!

You will love Tulane and NOLA. If you want to hear music, I suggest heading down to Frenchman Street where you can hear wonderful jazz at almost any venue. Most will let kids under 21 in, esp if they are with their parents. Many don’t have a cover charge, and you can just get a club soda if you don’t want alcohol. My son,who is a jazz studies major at Tulane actually has a couple of gigs this weekend. He’s playing playing on Saturday at Bamboulas on Frenchmen street with Abby
Diamond at 3:30-5:30 and then in the Howlin Wolf Den with his jazz funk band The Big Excuse at 9’or 10 PM. Also, be sure to have breakfast at cafe du monde in the French quarter. We also enjoyed walking tours of both the French quarter and garden district. We love coquette in the garden district for dinner.

@Mom0f3 - Sounds like your son is doing really well! Fantastic. Frenchman Street is definitely the place for music in NOLA these days, it seems.

Don’t forget your umbrella and shorts! It is spring time in New Orleans. Beautiful days!
