Finding a pricey restaurant in New Orleans? Gee that could be a problem … NOT! You’ll get lots of recommendations I’m sure. I’ll suggest Commanders Palace … 1403 Washington Avenue, two blocks from St. Charles Avenue, fourteen blocks from Maison St. Charles in the direction of Tulane.

PS, If you need a dress shirt cheap, try the Buffalo Exchange (consignment shop) at 3312 Magazine Street … three blocks south and six blocks west of Commanders Palace.

Excellent suggestion NewHope, for Magazine Street I mean. Great way to get a look at that. Not that Commanders is bad either! There is another restaurant not far from you leeduh, called Pascal’s Manale. Check and make sure they are open. If yes, and you like spicy and rich (you would only eat this once a month tops, lol) get the BBQ shrimp. Very messy, but they will put a bib on you. It’s OK. Everyone does it. You can take the streetcar towards Tulane to the cross street (Napolean) and then walk the 3 blocks to your right (north I think that is) to the restaurant. Not dressy, so no worries there.

Wow.
If there’s a reason to stay at Maison St. Charles it should be because it’s across the street from Emeril’s Delmonico. I skirted the dress policy, and the food and restaurant was VERY impressive. And for the food we got, it was cheap comparative to restaurants in NYC.

I’m excited for DT tomorrow. Tulane has really crept it’s way up on the list. I wanted to go to college in Cali at first, but the Tulane campus actually feels like California in this weather

California, meh. Overrated. LOL. We ate at Delmonico last year during Honors Weekend. It is a nice place. Very glad you enjoyed it. There are dozens more at least as good.
