We’ve scheduled a tour of the University of Richmond this weekend. Any campus sites we should visit that aren’t on a typical tour? Any good places to grab lunch?
We made sure to visit the rec center (staff let us enter and walk around) and Robins center (basketball arena and where they hold graduation). The career center is near the room where they held the admissions presentation, and they had a lot of great info for the taking.
Definitely have a meal in the main dining center, it is among the best D19 and I visited. There is not much in walking distance of the campus so we only visited one strip mall area that was near our hotel, just your typical suburban look and feel. Have a great trip. D19 applied EA, but was accepted to her ED school and had to withdraw her app.
Definitely go to Carrytown. It is 15 minutes from campus.
Great visit, daughter really liked the campus (especially the Gottwald Science Center) and the students seemed happy and engaged…and always in a hurry! It’s definitely the number one school of the ones she’s visited. We didn’t make it to Carytown; instead we drove out to the equestrian center where the riding team practices. It’s quite a haul, but we’re finding that to be the case with most colleges that have equestrian programs.
