Visiting UC

I'm headed to Chicago this weekend and this will be my first time on campus. Needless to say I'm pretty excited, but is there anything I should be sure to see or ask about (either on campus or around the city)?

Take a look at Rockefeller Chapel - it's pretty awesome. Otherwise, look at the library and all the gothic buildings, and make sure to drive by the Shoreline dorm.

myketb, you should definitely visit one of the best bookstores in the world, the Seminary Coop Bookstore. It has every kind of book in its nooks and crannies. University Ave. at 58th Street.

Be sure to visit the Oriental Institute Museum at 58th and University.

A tour of Frank Lloyd Wright's Robie House is also very interesting: http://www.wrightplus.org/robiehouse/tours.php

5757 South Woodlawn

Make sure when you visit Rockefeller Chapel, you go on the tour of the bell tower. They let you play the carillon!

The Art Institute of Chicago! lovely......

Wow. Really. I just got back from Chicago and I like the place, well, a lot. I had been debating between UC, Cornell, Georgetown and Kenyon College but being on campus made it pretty easy. To top it off, I don't know how many of you are from the Chicago area, but being Christmas time and all, downtown is amazing. My regular decision application is going in tomorrow, and it'll be supported by the football staff, so chances are real high I'll end up at UofC. Hopefull I'll see you guys around campus, and maybe even at a football game or two. :)
