Visiting UDel on move in day

We will be driving back to Massachusetts after dropping my son off at college in Virginia tomorrow and our high school senior daughter will be with us. University of Delaware is on her list of potential colleges, but she has yet to visit. It would be great if we could make a short visit tomorrow just to see the Green and Main street. I know its move-in day. Are we crazy or can we get in and out in a reasonable time? Thanks for your input.

Depends what you consider reasonable! Other than graduation, it’s probably the busiest you’ll see.

If you look at map key for building 82, ashley rd/courtney street is a residential street, and come in from that side, park there and walk and you “should” be able to avoid Main Street one way traffic and get a good walking tour of the heart of campus/green. Ashley/ Courtney is about 1/2 mile walk to Main street.

Thank you Samiamy for your great advice. We did as you instructed, avoided traffic, and had a great look at the beutiful campus

Glad it helped.
