Visiting USC

Does anybody know if USC has events for students that are accepted to the school as a freshman like a Campus Day or some other presentation for non-scholarship students. If so are these any different from the "Meet USC" or "Encounter USC" presentations as a prospective freshman. If anyone could please help me out that would be great I live in NY and will only have 1 chance to visit USC so if there was a difference between the events than I will probably just wait to see if I get in and than visit.

I’m pretty sure there’s orientations, but those might be local instead of on campus.
I’m from NY too, and i’m gonna check things out when i fly out for the scholarship interviews in march.

YES! All admitted students are invited to “Explore.” It is a one day program to welcome you, celebrate your admission, and blitz you with USC propaganda to try to convince YOU to select THEM. Oh, they also give you useful information about programs, majors, clubs, activities… You will receive information about Explore when you receive your admissions package.

Good luck!

And yes, Arctic, there is also an orientation session over the summer for students who have submitted commitment deposits where you register for classes and get even more info.

OK thanks for the info everyone, if I can only visit once would everyone say that it would probably be best to wait to see If I’m accepted and than visit on the “Explore” day.

I would definitely wait for Explore. It will be a much more personalized experience because you’re being wooed.

thanks fauxnom
