I have a few questions about a visit to Wash U, and if anyone could help me, that would be great! I am unable to attend the Multicultural Celebrations Weekend because of a conflict, so I am looking at visiting at another date in April. When is a good time to visit where class will be in session and the students won't be stuck in dorms studying for finals? Would April 12th and 13th be good (Sunday and Monday)? Or is it a bad idea to visit on a Monday? Also, I need to arrange my own place to stay (Wash U isn't providing a host since it isn't over the Celebrations weekend), but I still would like to be able to stay in the dorms. I don't know any current Wash U students, so does anyone know someone that I could room with for a night? I am male, engineering major, interested in playing soccer or doing Mock Trial, and whether or not you fit those interests, if you have a dorm that I could sleep in one night, that would be awesome! Thanks in advance for any help!

If you were invited to multicultural weekend and can’t attend, they still should be able to provide you with a host for a different weekend, as long as they don’t run out (we called today and it still sounds like there are plenty of hosts–in two weeks, probably not). Sorry, can’t help with the other questions, but good luck.

Yeah - there’s a group of current students who volunteer to be hosts year round. Call!

If you’re staying in a dorm, you’ll have a host. And palmalk’s right- there’s a group of us who volunteer for this (OWL’s- overnight welcome leaders).

Sweet! I’ll give them a call and set something up. Thanks for the help!
