Hi everyone,

I'm visiting for Campus Day this Friday, but I'm arriving in the area later today. I'm visiting two classes on Wednesday, but was curious if there is anything else I should do around campus/the area.

Specifically, can anyone suggest any cool places to eat? For example, I was in Ann Arbor and I ate at Zingerman's, this awesome deli.

Any advice is appreciated, can't wait to see UIUC again!

If you like pizza, try Papa Dels pizza on Green Street.

I’ll be there too…Thursday Afternoon and all day Friday.

It’s also not technically called campus day haha I was thinking of michigan.

Oh I didn’t notice. Admitted Student Day. Will you be at the James Scholars program?

Green street is just across Union. Not many restaurants there but you can find pizza, chipolate, korean food, chinese food and one nice yogurt place (Coco?). Nothing special.
If you stay at iHotel, they have Hulihan. iHotel is great, new, clean, modern and very friendly.

Walk around! Enjoy the campus. Green street has a lot of food places, I like antonio’s pizza, and the beef place, forgot what it’s called. Just explore campus, get on a bus, visit dorms, the union, places like that.

What is this James scholar thing? Is it only for instate? I am a James scholar but I don’t think I was invited.

Oh it seems like it may only be for LAS, and I’m engineering.

I’m in ME. And I’m in-state. I don’t know who was invited exactly.

Also, anyone know where I can get an Illinois hooded sweatshirt for a decent price?

Illini Union Bookstore has hoodies for less than $35, and I think last weekend they were buy one, get one free. It’s possible they still have that sale.
