Visiting

Hey, I am going to Loyola this weekend, and since there are no tours.. :(... what do you guys think I should see? I think me and my brother are just going to longboard around the campus and look at buildings? I dunno. haha.

You should look at the new library - it’s not open yet, but is quite impressive
Also look at University Hall and the Lion’s Den/Living Room - this is where the student store is. Sunken Garden where the chapel is. There’s a really cool center quad area with a fountain. THere’s a place called the Lair which is where all the food choices are.
Also, two different housing areas - the ones by the University Hall and the ones at the other end of the campus by the chapel and sunken garden.

Loyola sits on a bluff looking over the ocean. It’s really hard to beat.
Can you tell it’s my first choice.

This weekend will probably be horrible because most of the student body is leaving Thursday night Friday morning for the Easter weekend so it might be barren around campus. University Hall is a great place because you will see the classrooms, also St. Roberts Hall is good becasue it really has that old college feel. The Malone student center is where the Lair, Bookstore, and Lions den are, but they might be closed because of the holiday.

Definitely see the bluff its beautiful. Again most of the stuff will be closed this weekend on campus just because of holy Friday and the easter weekend. You can see the outside of the building but most will be closed. Sacred Heart will probably be open for mass though.

UNIVERSITY HALL! Def check that place out. It used to be a airplane hangar owned by Howard Hughes. Walk around the sunken gardens and check out the dorm/apartment complex.

THANKS EVERYONE!!!
I’ll let you know what I thought in a day or two!

I… 4th University Hall. Basically just walk around… that’s what we did on the tour. Go in a few of the more public buildings, and that’s basically it. It’s so beautiful though… sigh.
