Did anybody attend a "Ready...Set...Pitt" visit or a "So You Want To Be A...." visit? How was it? Are they very similar programs?

I attended a Ready…Set…Pitt program. It was alright, although to be honest I pretty much knew everything that they told me (only because I had researched the school extensively).

It’s a good program, you’ll get a lot of information and get a few tours and such too. The application fee is free if you apply there too.

Do you make a paper application at that time, or is it still online?

Last summer it was a paper application that you could hand in before you left. So come with all the necessary info SS#, phone numbers, addresses etc…
The essay and activities resume can be sent in later.

My daughter applied during Ready Set Pitt and was accepted rather early.

It’s a great program especially if it’s your first visit

Looking at the two programs, we went with the “So you want to be” since son knew he wanted to do some type of engineering. We learned a lot and got to see the lower campus. He filled out the paper application while he was there. It didn’t require any fee plus it was the most simplest of all the college applications :)

When would a student hear about his admission results if he applied during one of these summer informaitonal sessions?

I applied in July (?) received my admission results in late October.

Thanks…that is pretty early. It would be great to get that whole admission thing out of the way and be able to enjoy senior year.

lfk725- That is so true. My daughter applied by Sept 1 and had an anwser by Columbus Day. She was realy glad she did because it took so much stress out of her senior year. Good Luck!

They told me I would get a decision around October 10th
