My boyfriend is transferring to UCR next semester and I'm planning on visiting him. Would it be possible for me to stay with him in his dorm?

If not, does anyone know any cheap hotels around that area? I'll be staying for about a week.

Thanks!

transfer get apt not dorms so you ll be able to visit 3 times a month

I shouldn’t have said transferred, i meant that he’s an exchange student so he’s staying for only 4 months so it’s not a good idea to get an apartment I think. It’ll be too expensive too, I think?

I guess my best choice is to find a hotel to stay at but the ones i’ve found are so expensive!

it really depends on who enforces the rules. the RAs are students too so you can have a cool one who don’t mind as long as you are only visiting here and there…it is still best not to let the RA know.

The person you have to ask is the roommate since they would be the one to rat you out.

My GF used to visit me and she just stayed with me in the dorm. I did the same when I went to see her at UCI, but then again, we had roommates that were friends from high school.

Jason2009: Thanks! I’ll ask my boyfriend if he got an apartment. If people can visit only 3 times a month, are there certain dates or something? I’m going to visit him for a week, can I stay with him the whole week or can I only stay with him for 3 days?

apts are really cheap off campus. For a one bedroom one bath its around 850 and for two bed two bath its around 1100.
or he can rent out a room in a house (craigslist) that caters only to students

OK, my boyfriend decided to go with apartments so I can visit him! I’ll be staying with him for a week. Is there a website or something where I can see rules for visitation?
