This summer I'm going to visit many schools that I'm interested in learning more about and you could probably call them borderline schools on my list. so, should i book an interview, even if i decide not to apply? this will probably be my only chance to interview at the school if i'm interested. also, i am interested in having music lessons, so should i make an appointment with my instrument's teacher? i'm not sure if i should audition since i plan to minor in music or just play a bit for them. also, any notes on what to expect from interviews/music auditions? also, do you have any ideas on some of the best questions to ask? also, since it's summer i am not sure how much i can get the sense of the school, so any ideas on getting the full experience? thanks!

any replies?

very helpful to interview. Consider this preliminary, return to the top 3 or 4 while school in. I don't see value in meeting music teacher as you've explained your interest. Why meet the lacrosse coach if you're not going to play(as an example) and be of a calibre good enough to gain scholarship.? your time is more valuable, so is the coaches'.

I recommend you send tests, similar info ahead of time. then when you meet, you'll get a good feel of how much they want you. Do they greet you with "hello, Becky!" , or just flip a page on a folder and say "mmmm let's see, you are Becky?" I recommend you see no more than 2 a day- otherwise they all jumble together in memory.

you should post a question on the parents forum regarding music. Quite a number of parents there have kids seriously involved in the arts and can give you pointers on what to look for/ask. At some schools what's available to non-majors can be quite restricted.

How do you go about sending test scores, etc if you have not sent in your application?
