Does CMU have any programs for visiters?

You can arrange a tour. Check out my post found at the top of this forum, which deals with our Overview of our visit to CMU. It is the sticky post found at the very top.

o cool thanks

I don't want to rain on your parade, but we were disappointed that during several visits we were never allowed to visit any of the dorms. Reasons ranged from "they are all full even in the summer" to "they are all different so there is no point in looking" to "you can see them online". Also, it was never clear to me where/how the students are supposed to eat, because we were never shown any cafeterias (I think students are supposed to eat at commercial establishments in a food court area). The standard information sessions were good, though, as were the academic building tours.

PS - we attended CMU Sundays as well as the session for admitted students.

Try to get in on a sleeping bag weekend, you can find out alot of stuff that they dont tell you about on tours. You can check out my post in Taxguy's post about his visit for some info on the dorms, but I highly suggest that you go to a sleeping bag weekend for yourself if you can miss a monday and take a trip to Pittsburgh... I have a great time and my experience brought CMU to the top of my list.
