what kind of printers are they

lexmark z25 doesn’t have a vista driver released yet. i really like this one cuz it’s so light and small.
lexmark z4720 has one…but it’s like an “all in one” printer i don’t want to lug that up to UF

and my epson doesn’t have a vista driver released online yet…

My canon i560 worked with it, just plugged it in and Windows installed the drivers itself. I also bought an HP all-in-one for when I go to UF (I don’t know the model number as it’s in storage atm, but it’s the top-of-the-line one with the auto feeder and it worked).

Unless your printers are really old, vista should be able to install them OR at least work with them.

they’re XP compatible. just no Vista drivers for them. shrugs

Alot of companies are specifically not making Vista drivers, and requiring you to buy a new printer.

You can try a different driver in the same line of printer (Ala, if you have an HP 5527, you can potentially try using a driver for a 5500 or 5560 or something similiar) and it may work.

This holds true for all printer companies, not just HP. The Vista database of built in printer drivers is bigger than XP’s, so feel free to give that a try.
