So I will be applying to a few UC schools in the fall (I'm from out of state in CT), and I have yet to fulfill the vpa requirement. I am in the process of trying to change my schedule but I can't seem to get in the classes I need. I could sign up for Crafts 1 (which is a prereq for Ceramics 1) first semester and Ceramics 1 second semester according to the reply I got after I sent an email to the admissions people. Here's the problem: That completely CONTRADICTS EVERYTHING THAT THE WEBSITE SAYS. Not only is Ceramics a separate course from Crafts but Crafts is not on the approved list. I am wondering if my email was just skimmed or if this is actually an option. PLEASE GIVE ME ANY ADVICE AND THANK YOU!!! AHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!

You cannot take two semesters of different VPA classes to fulfill the requirement. You need a yearlong VPA course taken in the correct sequence (semester 1 first and semester 2 second; if you split up the course). Here’s a list of ways for you to satisfy the requirement:

Below are examples of acceptable and unacceptable courses:
