is there a program that does not require deposits and gives out scholarships???

if you have some sort of legal right to stay in the city, there are bunch of free to cheap commuter programs.
Cooper, Joan Mitchell, Art student league, some museum funded ones, etc…

Pratt is out unless they changed policy, used to ask $250 up front no matter what
parsons. sva you’d just lose app fee but either gives tuition only the max, don’t know if anything had changed.
FIT is cheaper but classes are piece meals and fashion heavy.
You’d have to look up each school and see what they say and how much when. full, limited, partial…
Usually you could tell schools’ willingness to give away aids by how hard to find and get to the link about money. If you have to pull out more than four-five links, I can bet you 5K they won’t give you any.

Now, who has money to give ???
MICA become very skimpy, I heard.
SMFA Boston, SAIC, if your style matches those.
What do you do?
if traditional painting and you are now junior, MWS at colorado college is free if you get in. I am big fan of this because never got to do. Could be boring for art magnet kids.
