Visual/Performing Art Requirement Question

I thought this seemed like the right place to ask this question.

For the UC's a Art course is required.

So currently I am taking a summer school course called "General Art Course 1A". It is worth 0.5 credits. I emailed UC admissions plus the schools that I want to apply to that they instructed to do but got no specific answer. They said that it is a "year long course".

So finally my question is that is my art course this summer enough? It is created and administered by the Department of Education in Hawaii but I really have no clue.

This is worrying me big time.

Thanks in advance for any information.

I cannot give you any specific advice, as you are not a Californian student, but I believe that .5 credits would be equal to a semester, not a year. The class is called ART 1A, but you would need ART1AB in order for it to count as a year. You probably wiill have to take ART 1B your senior year.
