hey everyone. I'm trying to order vocab books online, and can't find a site that has Direct Hits 2010, Core Vocab and Toughest Words.

What's a site that has these books? Also, whats a site that has Rocket Review books? All of the sites I found will ship in like 2 months and stuff!

I tried amazon. It says that Direct Hit core vocab. is out of stock. and the toughest words takes 1-3 months to ship. Like W T F ? lol.

I bought a Barron’s book, which has pictures that go with 300 words. I don’t have the book on me, I don’t remember the name, but its a blue book. I also bought a Princeton Review book that is specifically for the CR and Writing sections (i suck at those) and it has about 200+ words from the “Hit Parade”.

Do you think those words should suffice? Or should I get the Direct Hits later on too?

^They probably will. The problem with the Barron books and the other vocab review books, so I’ve heard, is that they have a lower “hit” rate than Direct Hits, so you may end up memorizing more words than you actually need. I only looked through the Barron 3000 mini dictionary when I was studying for the SAT, never read Direct HIts at all, and did just fine on the SAT.

oh ok. This barron’s book only has 300 words, but it has funny cartoons and sentences that go with them, so at least the memorization won’t seem like a dull task. I should be able to fly through that book and it’s take a couple weeks to finish the 200+ words that came with the Princeton Review book for CR and Writing.

Are most of the words in those 2 the same words in Direct Hits? Or should I get Direct Hits too? Any other recommendations in addition to the 2 word lists/books I have?..btw how long did it take to memorize the 3000 word Mini Dictionary?

my mom bought me this vocab videos kind of cute and helpful: [SAT Vocabulary Words | SAT, ACT, GRE Vocab Test Prep | Videos For SAT Practice, Preparation & Tutoring ? Vocab Videos](http://vocabvideos.com/) she said it cost something like $10/month and if you buy longer time it’s cheaper per month. I like funny videos so this helps me.
