Vocal Music at James Madison

<p>My D auditioned for the Classical Singer competition at James Madison in Virginia and has had some subsequent reason to believe they have an interest in her as a student.</p>

<p>The university itself is the right size and the area is quite nice. They also seem to be investing in performing arts there with a new center under construction.</p>

<p>My D is very interested in opera and needs a high quality choral program to be a happy camper. Has anybody here had experience with JMU's vocal program or heard any buzz or rumors about it?</p>

<p>My D is going there for vocal performance in the fall. She loved the campus, the people - everything about it. We have heard great things about the choral director and the program there. We have our fingers crossed that the new facility will open in 2010. I can try to answer any specific questions too - PM me too if you like.</p>
