Vocal Performance Schools - not classical

<p>My daughter is a senior in high school and wants to attend a college for musical performance - vocal. We are looking for additional schools for her to apply. </p>

<p>We live in Michigan, but she is most likely going to attend out state, she got a 29 ACT, has a 3.5 GPA and is a mezzo with several years of private voice.</p>

<p>Although she has primarily studied classical, she wants a program with a strong contemporary vocal program, perhaps jazz, but not sure. </p>

<p>We have visited:
Berklee in Boston
Belmont
Western Michigan
and are going to visit Columbia in Chicago</p>

<p>Any other ideas for application? or thoughts on the list above?</p>

<p>thanks - lots of great reading, and I have added USC Thornton to the list, but it looks expensive a dn tought to get in. Also considering U of Arts Phil.</p>
