voice auditioners...WHOSE EXCITED FOR THOSE RESULTS! I am scared lol *biting nails*

HELLOOOOO to all Northwestern voice applicants/auditioners/commoners/frequenters/goers/whatever you'd love to call thineselves,

I am just curious to know who is excited for the results of our auditions? I don't think that many of us are getting in, despite my hopes and wishes for a great future for all of us. It is unfortunately not easy to get in, as I recently found out, but one thing is for certain. At least one of you that is reading this (that is of course a music applicant/auditionee) WILL GET IN! I can definitely see that happening. But, just a reflection thread. Feel free to take over and add input :P. (or audition experiences, thoughts, yeah.)

wow, everybody's confident eh?

no, i am totally freaked out!!

but currently very calm.

I didn't apply to Northwestern, but one of my best friends auditioned for voice. She's an amazing singer (and student, and person, and so on), so I really hope she gets in...

I am quite nervous...A soprano, my audition went well, but this whole 15% accepted thing, as well as my could-have-been-better SAT...Acceptance would be AMAZING. AAAHHH...I don't even want to think about it anymore.

haha my sats blow...like they are probably worse than any other applicant i bet you. most likely worse than yours i'm quite confident in that :P

Besides Northwestern, where did you all audition?

I auditioned at: Northwestern, Carnegie Mellon, NYU, DePaul, and St. Olaf. I've only heard from St. Olaf (accepted :))

AHHHHHHHHHHHHH, WE HEAR IN LIKE.....2 days right?????!!!!!!!!!!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHH I'm so nervous.....my audition went well....my essays were really good, great recs, my ACT (28) could have been higher....my grades...are fine....ummmm.....AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

AH, GUYS I'm so NERVOUS! We need to stick together through this!

Haha! I got your pm. We're going to be ok despite the fact that our blood is now at 212 degrees :P. I am AHHHH nervous too haha. Although, the thing is, it's not easy to get in for music, but they concentrate more on talent than academics (no they don't woosh it aside for any matter but it's given a slight shove in the butt.)
BUT, so far, I've audition/accepted at: Tulane (no audition, accept,) Case Western (Rejected music, accpeted general,) Univ. Miami (accepted music,) James Madison (accepted music,) NU (still WAITING!), McGill (times are a waiting. yep.)

So for people like Patrick27tenor, I think we're all going to be ok, and ye,s i went through the pre "getting letters back" anxiety a few hours ago!! (in me sleep.) It's going to be ok <3

I auditioned for piano. I'm very nervous as well....

I also applied for piano... i can't stand the wait!!

Have you guys heard anything ! I have, let me know how all of you do!!!

One of my best friends was rejected. She's an excellent student, an incredible singer, and has performed at the Kennedy Center... I don't get it. :(

Sorry, Jeremy. You sound like a great guy. Good luck at McGill.

aw thank you wintersilk. It'll be tough if i dont get into mcgill b/c i'll only have one option left, frost school of msuic w/u o fmiami. And i'm not wild about it b/c it's WAY too athletic. but i'm not going to get ahead :P
