Voice faculty?

I’m sorry if I am just being blind, but I am looking for the voice faculty for FSU’s BFA in MT. I click on musical theater, then click on “People,” and there is a list of faculty, none of whom are voice professors. Does anyone know where I can find the list of voice faculty for the BFA program? And is this the same list of people for the BM program?

Thank you! Again, I apologize…I am not normally a stupid person. Just cannot find it!

I think I’m right about this (I’ll confirm with my twin sons who are in their second year at FSU) but I believe that Gayle Seaton, who is the program director for MT is the Voice teacher for all Juniors and Seniors, whether they are BM or BFA MTs. The the first and second year students, I believe have graduate students in voice. She is in the college of music faculty. The MT program is joint between the school of music and the school of theatre.

Hi there, Nccpdad is correct.

Thank you for the information! But…wow. Only one voice teacher for all the juniors and seniors? What if it’s not a good match…?

@VERITASMT. There are only about 35 students in the entire MT program so only half of that (about 17 between the junior and senior classes)will be taught by Gayle. I’ve never heard a negative word about her teaching. The students think that she is phenomenal.

VeritasMT
The College of Music is quite large and the MT students are considered majors regardless of whether they are pursuing the BFA or the BM in MT. As a result, if it’s not a good match or if Gayle feels the student would benefit from working with someone else (even temporarily) she will arrange for that student to have private voice lessons with another member of the voice faculty and there is a pretty wide range.
I hope this helps but please don’t hesitate to email me if you would like further clarification.
