Voice/Theatre double degree?

I'm applying to Northwestern University for vocal performance, and I saw that there are double degree opportunities with the school of communications. Is it possible to double degree in voice and theatre at northwestern?

In all honesty, I can’t imagine how you would have time to successfully complete either degree if, indeed, you would be permitted to major in two diverse areas of performance, each of which has their own set of requirements.

There is absolutely no reason to pursue such a double degree- it will not make you more marketable nor will it make you a more attractive candidate for graduate school (you’ll have to get a Master’s in VP). There will be some acting classes and stage technique classes included in your VP syllabus wherever you end up taking your degrees and that will serve you just fine.

Have a great audition season!

Musical Theatre?

The OP already stated that he/she is applying for VP, so I didn’t consider MT as an option, especially as it has an important dance component and the singing singing style may not be compatible.
