Voices of Tufts application

May I ask where you guys are flying from?
Is there anyone flying from Houston here?

I’m flying from Minnesota.
I’m sort of nervous about timing because my flight won’t land until 11 and I might have to rush to get there.

How far is the airport? The opening session doesn’t start until 1245 and you have until 3 to register.

Once you get your luggage, it probably takes an hour to 75 minutes to get to campus from Logan. Unless you get reimbursed by Tufts for cabfare, you should be fine taking the T.

Ooooooh ok. Is it a problem at all taking the T/walking from Davis Square to Tufts with a suitcase?
I thought I’d be fine with a backpack until I saw that we’re supposed to have a sleeping bag. :P

Contact your host to see if they have a sleeping bag.

And you can take the Joey from Davis Square if you don’t have a rolling suitcase. If you have one, walking will be fine.

Seems like I missed something. I only received an email about my flight ticket and that’s it, not what I’m supposed to bring or any info about my host.
Because I’m flying from Houston so I have to go on Wednesday and arrive there on Wednesday night. I’m really wondering where I’m gonna stay for that night :</p>

Yeah, I don’t think we’ll know who our hosts are until we get there. Oh well. We can make it work.
As for the things you’re supposed to bring, look for an email with the subject “Voices Confirmation Letter.” I got it on the 20th.

I’m coming in from San Antonio :P. Would anyone know the best method of transportation from the airport to Tufts?

@mac0211:
You can either take a cab (faster but much more expensive) or take the Silver Line Bus to South Station and from South Station take the red line (subway) to Davis Square and then take a shuttle/walk to Tufts from there.

I think it explains it better here:

:)

Thank you very much, you excited for next weekend? :)

I’m super excited! I have my ED application all done, and if Voices goes well I’ll send it in right when I get home.
Gaahhh. It’ll be awesome.

Wait, so noone is gonna pick us up at the airport but we’ll have to get to Tufts on our own?

Yup! It won’t be too hard, though. :stuck_out_tongue:
What time is your flight getting in?

Arggg I will get there on Wednesday night because they told me only by that way I can be on time when the program starts on Thursday morning. I asked them where I am gonna stay and stuffs but they didn’t reply yet. And well, I never received a Voice Confirmation Letter, but just a Voice Invitation and Travel Arrangement.
I have been excited for days but now I kinda feel nervous.

@mac0211: Hey I’m flying from Texas too  So what time are you gonna get there? Wednesday night too?

@HPdaKING: Haha not quite, Tufts made my travel arrangements (I’ll be arriving at Boston Airport around 12:30 on Thursday) :P. Ha guess we have to bust out the thick winter coats we rarely use in texas huh? 50 degree weather here I come! :D

You are going to see plenty of shorts here in that weather :)

Do we need to bring any formal clothes?

Doesn’t look like there is any reason to.
