Does anyone know if starting volleyball at prep would be feasible. I'm going to Andover, so if you know if starting there is a good idea specifically, let me know!

if they have club volleyball, go from there. or try to contact the andover volleyball coach? i’m not sure of andover has a JV team, but if you’re naturally athletic then perhaps you have a shot… haha i’m not sure. look for club volleyball / contact the coach / current or past students with more info than me :)

volleyball isnt very big at like any boarding schools its more for the kids who cant play any other sports or schools usually just make a volleyball team so kids can think there “athletic.”

,…

morphious, chill

morphius…1) im 5’9" and not done growing 2) i have played volleyball at school during gym, good at it, loved it 3) idk what boarding school you are talking about

uh well volleyball isn’t a hard sport to pick up, especially if you’ve played it before. i never played the sport until last year and i made varsity this year at my high school… i have no idea about the level of play at andover, but again, if you’re athletic, volleyball is easy and fun to play. :D

If you want to start volleyball, it’s not a bad idea to go to a clinic or camp or something over the summer to learn more about the sport and decide if you’re more of a back row person or a hitter…

Volleyball does require a good amount of muscle and fitness to play.

Not as much so as say, american football or hockey or something.
