volunteer crisis

<p>so i want to be a doctor, im in high school and have good grades. im not in band, or a star athlete so setting myself apart from others for college is gonna be from volunteering. i found this amazing volunteer abroad project. its amazing and i really wanna go. although i read that when colleges see one time volunteer hours that have to do with things that arent close to what you wanna do, for me its medicine, and this project doesnt have anything to do with medicine. so i have 2 options, go abroad and take the chance that colleges will think im just trying to stack my resume. or i can just stay home and volunteer at hospitals and nursing home but seem less interesting. sorry about how stupid i might sound now, im a little pressed for time so i have to hurry.</p>
