I have heard that volunteer work is important in the admissions process. It wont get you in, but ive heard it is really frowned upon if an applicant does not spend any time doing volunteer work.

How many hours do you have? I have I guess somewhere around 250.

lol thats so unfair how u guys kill 2 birds w/ 1 stone and knock down volunteer reqs w/ ib progs. i volunteer at the hospital, cuz its fun. (University Medical Center at Princeton) lol <----would that help that its p'ton??

Of course it'll help :P If the admissions officers ever need to have a checkup, you could surreptitiously plug yourself when admitting them, lol

And I don't do any of my volunteering for IB, lol. Talk to my CAS coordinator, she's always bugging me to record more of my hours and I'm like, "I'm busy enough as it is!"

LOLOLOL windslicer i am so in same situation....i have none of my hours logged but i can't seem to find the time to get the signatures and evaluations and write up answers to the CAS packet...

i have volunteer hours, but they're not all consistent.

for example, i only have 20 hours at the public library and 20 hours at a local hospital, but i have 267 hours at a nursing home. is it bad that i dont have a lot of hours at the library and hospital?

We need a post to see how many people on here are IB. Pretty much all the people on here have to be IB because non-IB kids wouldnt be this crazy.
