I'm trying to find a good place to volunteer this summer and for the next school year.

Where do you volunteer? Do you like it?

Where would you recommend?

Well...that's sort of a broad question. The thing is, you have to choose an area that will benefit you most in the long run. For example, I want to major in medicine, so I volunteer at a local hospital 4 hours/wk. However, someone whose future goal is to be a teacher may choose to volunteer at a school or a day-care service.

But in general, these are solid areas to pursue volunteering:

A local hospital

Old age homes

An aid for a teacher

Tutor in any subject that interests you

Local animal shelters

Some sort of service for your neighborhood

Good luck,
Zenythz

I just got a volunteer internship with the Mayor's Office. My schedule's flexible, it's a pretty impressive internship, and I'm learning quite a bit.

This internship makes sense for me because I want to go into government when I'm older, but it might not be ideal for you. Where you volunteer should have at least something to do with some career that you have in mind so that it will be meaningful.

sunrise, love it

my county has a teen court program where you can volunteer to be a juror or a lawyer. It's really interesting.

How and where everybody find the volunteer opportunity?

My favorite place to volunteer is at the library - they almost always need volunteers and I find it really fun. Plus, I know how much I personally use my public library and I'm always really satisfied to know I gave to it almost as much as it gave to me :)

Good luck and have fun volunteering :D
