I'm a sophomore and I was just wandering: do I need a lot of volunteering and a lot of extra-curriculars to get into a good college? Will a sport and a couple of extra curriculars (plus a A's and 5's in AP tests) be enough?

Well, it's alot better to excel and show passion in a few activities than to simply have alot of activities without depth.

I see. A LOT of people in this site have like thousands of EC's, and clubs, and I don't even know how they can do homework sometimes.

Don't be that person, i know people who were and did not get very many places with college apps,

but people who were devoted to 1 or 2 smaller things in a big way seemed to have much better success.....

they don't care if you have 1billion clubs, they just care about what you yourself have done with your talent.... and joining clubs shows 0
