Volunteering at a hospital

Would that make a good sciencey-EC? I'm applying to the hospital in January, and yeah, I know a lot of people do this. Any thoughts?

Volunteering is like a pre-requisite most CCers can say applicants need for top schools. It can only benefit you, even if a lot of people do it.

Volunteering at a hospital is wonderful, go for it. If you’re planning on going into allopathic or osteopathic medicine, this is a great way to get a foot in the door. Also get to know the people at the hospital, such as the clinicians and other volunteers.

Thanks for the help. I am probably going to study pre-med; are there any other ECs that are related to that?

There’s not much pertaining to medicine, but you can shadowing a doctor of certain specialty that you might be interested in, going for a nursing assistant program or anything that has person to person interactions. Remember you’re only in high school, so I shouldn’t worry about it too much lol.
