Volunteering for Political Campaigns?

For my community service activites, I have only the following:

-4 years in key club
-2 years in Environmental Science
-32 hours at a summer bible school in 2004

The reason I don’t have hundreds of hours built up (like some others on CC) is that I volunteer alot for political campaigns. I volunteered for the Kerry campaign in several different ways, and I am currently volunteering for someone running for state senate (not many hours yet, but hope to work more in the coming weeks). I kind of consider these activites a community service becuase I’m spreading knowledge about candidates and, thus, am increasing political awareness (though I’m not sure if they do actually qualify as community service). My passion is government and politics, which is clear in my extra cirriculars (SGA, student court, model congress, model UN, young democrats, etc.).

This summer, I work 35 hours a week babysitting. On my days off, I tour colleges. Do you think I should also volunteer for a non-profit organization, for the rest of the summer and on weekends during the school year, to increase my community service credentials?

Any input would be greatly appreciated!
