Volunteering Question

So I have been logging my volunteer hours from the past year for this one program and I was wondering if I could count the extra hours I put into designing our Science Olympiad team's website and designing/ordering our apparel. It wasn't for personal benefit (like the time I spent studying for my events) and I contributed much more time than my teammates for it.

Thanks in advance!

Bump… (Sorry, I really need an answer soon!)

I think you should.

You’re living under the myth that your “logged volunteer hours” are going to be of advantage to you. They won’t be. Put away your log and volunteer for whatever you deem pleases you.

colleges don’t care about your volunteer hours

As I mentioned in my previous post, it’s for this one community thing where we track our hours so our program can hit certain milestones… (and plus I’ve read on many forum threads that you shouldn’t report an actual number of hours on college applications…)

I personally don’t consider that volunteering (and I do things like that all the time), but that’s just me…
