<p>not sure if this is the right place to put this.. but</p>

<p>does anyone have any good volunteering sites?
I'm looking for volunteering opportunities that are more "out of the box" then something like going to the food bank or the library to volunteer</p>

<p>also
if you don't have fantastic grades, no "3.8-4.0" but you have ALOT of volunteer hours, and so on, would there be a higher chance of getting in a college? Colleges want more then bookworms don't they?</p>

<p>How about volunteering abroad?? there’s sites like LATTITUDE.COM that have volunteers around the age of 16-24 that go to places like china etc, to teach english. I was looking into it.</p>
