Ok I have a couple of questions on this topic, particularly concerning hospital volunteering. 1.) First of all, do colleges look at the amount of places you volunteered in? (for example: does volunteering in two hospitals for 400 hours equal 400 hours in one hospital?).
2.) Also does a job beat volunteering on a college application?
3.) Does it matter the "quality" or the standard of the place where you volunteer? For example, do colleges like it if you volunteer at NY Presbyterian, which ranks as one of the top hospitals, or LIJ Medical Center, which is very respectable, but perhaps not as well known as the former.
