Hey all.

Sorry I haven't been around for a while -- been busy with classes and life. Glad to see that Daniel has been able to check frequently and keep you all informed. I can let you know that the Admissions office is all a buzz with the number of applications and the adcoms are quite tired, but still moving along.

So I though I would put a pitch in for you all to check out the JHU Message Boards and to vote in the new poll...

http://messageboard.chatuniversity.com/jhuboard/
(You have to log-in to vote.)

If you don't get the poll question check out the Adcom profiles on the Hopkins Insider blog (http://hopkins.typepad.com/). Then pick your favorite and vote...

I voted for Daniel, but not just b/c he is my boss.

Have fun!

Ha Ha Ha. Somedoy's nose turning brown???

Actually, I am glad that more people will vote in the poll but I hope they don't just feel obligated to vote for me - it will not affect their admissions decision.

I was torn between John Latting and Shannon on who to vote for -- both had fantastic answers to favorite animal.

i voted for daniel's profile! i couldnt tell if it was the mentioning of a mullet (!!!) or the very down-to-earth attitude that made me vote for him.

"What are your Admissions pet peeves? (What drives you crazy?): Here's just a sample of few of my pet peeves: (1) Applicants who submit their application with one name, their test scores with a different name, and their transcript or recs with another arrangement of their name. (2) Spending $10 to go to the beach or hiking and forgetting that it is supposed to be an ADVENTURE. (3) Also with the essay, spending $10 on gas or starting one's essay with a phrase such as "$10 does not go a long way in today's society." (4) Admissions stalkers -- you know who you are. Email us with questions, not just to say "hi." (5) Applicants who have their Mom or Dad make all of their phone calls or write all of their emails for them."

:D
eeps
i am no. 5....

Haha I also dislike the those parents who do everything for their kids, applicants are 18 yrs old, not 10.

Sometimes you have to have your parents call though, since office hours are almost always during school hours on school days.. I know this was the case with myself, lol
