Voter Registration??????

OK, so my APUSH teacher told me I could register to vote 6 months in advance of election day, in early November. My birthday is October 21. Now, I sent my packet in and filled it all out and what-not and I haven't recieved a card telling me anything. I heard that there is a dealine of October 17. What more do I need to do to help ensure Tom Kean Jr. wins in November? Does anyone have any experience with this kind of stuff?

I'd get on the phone to the people you sent your package to and ask them what's up.

Yeah I just put it in the mail, when I was working for a local municipal government over the summer.

Hah. I knew you were in AP US.

I'm sure your card is not lost

Does anyone have any experience with the act of voting that can help me out?

If you sent it in, I would call your local Elections Office and inquire about it. Just ask them if they recieved your information. If they have, just nicely ask when you will recieve your Voter's Registration Card. I'm pretty sure they would be more than happy to answer any of your questions, especially because those who work for the Elections Office are usually thrilled to see young people taking the initiative to vote.

does this make you eligible for the draft? b/c sorry, i wont fight for this ideology...
