VSB Surges to #1 Undergraduate Business School

VSB has been ranked #1 in undergraduate business school according to Bloomberg, a rise in 23 spots.

This news follows the recent NCAA national championship and Villanova’s recent announcement that it is now moving into the national universities category under US News after adding more PHD programs.

That’s insane. It’s also funny how #2 and #3 waitlisted me. VSB is about to become more competitive than ever.

23 Spots??? I never saw this ranking before but that’s crazy given the name brand of Bloomberg. I also really liked how they used metrics that actually matter like employer rating and internships as opposed to “student-to-faculty ratio” and “4-year graduation rate”

@zziwhcs180 I guess it’s what happens when you replace the previously unpopular dean of the business school lol.

@MrInformed is he the provost now?

With this ranking and the national championship, I bet Villanova’s enrollment deposits will go way up, and they will have a higher yield this year. Parents such as myself, might change their mind with these recent events. However, from a financial perspective, Nova gave us zero aid, and our daughter’s other choice, Syracuse gave a significant scholarship. She will graduate with a major in both business (ranked 23 on Bloomberg) and also communications… Syracuse Newhouse is arguably the best communications school in the country. So, I think we will stay with Syracuse. But kudos to Villanova. If they had given us money, the decision would have been very tough!

With all this great news coming in, any speculation on how high Nova will be ranked in US news next year?

@slightwurkk If you plug in some of the criteria that USNWR uses, somewhere in the 40s would seem reasonable. The stats the publication uses are two years old, so that could leave some room to climb a bit. It’s an exciting time, for sure.

@zziwhcs180 12-to-1 and 85 percent, better than Brown. Those are university wide. I would hazard to guess that VSB grad rate is higher.
