Hi! I’m an in-state senior in high school, and my top pick is Virginia Tech. I’m a first generation refugee from the Middle East who came over when I was 2, and I’m also a first generation college student. I have a 3.9 GPA (weighted), my SAT score is 1480 (Math 710 ERW 770), I’m in NHS, I have a job, I take care of my baby sister every day, and I own a business.
I forgot to mention that I’m applying to the College of Engineering for Mechanical Engineering, and as of now I’ve taken and am currently taking a total of 12 AP or Honors courses, including AP Physics (4 on the exam) and AP Physics C (currently taking).
I think you should not have a problem being admitted. Weighted GPA may be a bit low but everything else looks great. Good luck.
Thank you!! Yeah my GPA is my primary concern.
