VT or UF in Engineering?

Hi guys,

I'm fairly new to the website, but it's been great so far.

Here is my dilemma.
I am currently a sophomore at the Euro. American Institute of Technology (in France) and my major is Aerospace Engineering.

I've been accepted as a Transfer Student to Virginia Tech as well as to the University of Florida.

Do you have any advice, pros/cons, opinions on each school? Which one would be better to transfer to?

Thanks in advance to all of you, really.

Since your question is more about the schools than transferring per se, also post your question on the ‘Search & Selection’ forum and the Engineering major subforum.

Alright, thanks entomom.

Not sure if you realize this but UF is notorious as the nations Number 1 party School.

However, VT is a better school for engineering while UF is great for partying.

I’d go to UF in a heart beat, I got 6 friends in fraternitys there and the party scene is out of controll, Think van wilider, and they dont try to hide it either.

Oh by the way UF is a great school, I really dont know nothing abojut VT but UF is better lol

^ UGA is the number one party school.

Also, UF is one of the better schools in the SE, and may be the top public school if we aren’t including VA or NC in the equation. A lot of really smart people go there. It’s not all about partying and sex at these “party schools”, contrary to popular belief. Every school is a party school except like Bob Jones and Liberty and such. Many people get excellent educations there.

OP, are you in-state for either school? Both are great schools but the culture and surrounding area are very different. Are you dead set on engineering?
