VT v/s UVA for computer science

ODU offers computer engineering (within the engineering school) , as well as a B.S. in Computer Science. VCU and GMU also have Computer Science programs within their engineering schools. All of these schools will have different tuition and housing costs.

Thanks - my son likes both and does not have any preference whatsoever.
We just have to do cost benefit analysis. Eagerly waiting for UVA results…

Hope he gets into both ! Both great choices and nice places to spend your college years (and nice places for parents to visit).

@sevmom has really summed up the differences nicely. My S was accepted to both and chose UVA. At times he has regretted this decision. His friends at VT seem to have more fun and the vibe at UVA doesn’t always suit him. At the time he was making his decision it was very difficult to turn down UVA, but we see things more clearly now. He is in engineering, but not CS. Hope that helps.
