<p>My son applied to VT Architechture, but was accepted to University Studies. He would have to apply to transfer into Arch next spring, which requires good 1st semester grades and an interview. If that goes well, he goes to Summer Qualifying Lab next summer, and must do well there. </p>
<p>Last year there were 100 transfer applicants, and 30 got in. 5 of those 30 were from other schools. Does anyone know how many internal transfers applied last year? I'm trying to determine if an internal transfer has a better chance of being admitted to the Architechture School.</p>
<p>My son ONLY has an interest in architechture. He was admitted to another college for architechture, but prefers VT much more. I'm worried the competition will be very intense, and then what to do if he is eventually rejected?</p>
<p>Please help! Any information you could give on the arch school and/or transfers to Architechture would be appreciated.</p>
