i know that these 3 colleges are one of the best in engineering but i really wanted to know which one is the best and which one is the least?
and is VT still one of the best engineering schools or is it far away from penn state and purdue?

USNWR undergraduate engineering rankings

8 — Purdue
13 – Virginia Tech
17 – Penn State

Depends on which field of engineering you want to pursue and how much each is going to cost you. Any of the three will give you a great education if you take advantage of all the school has to offer. IMHO…go with the least expensive…or the college you feel the most comfortable with…there just isn’t that much difference between them.

If you can, visit the schools you’re considering. Pick the one that you feel best at, like you belong there.

That’s what I did to pick Purdue since there are some things that you can’t grasp via a website.

If one of those is in-state you should definitely give more consideration to it, unless you can get scholarships to make the costs of these schools about equal.

well neither of them is instate i was thinking of vt since it has the least tuition and a good weather i wanted to ask abt university of minnesota 2 i knw thw weather over there is horrible but when it comes to education (engineering) is it the same level as those 3? btw i will probably be going to CE

cracker, this is a message board and not text messenging cell phone

FYI, the common abbreviations are CE for Civil Engineering, ChE for Chemical Engineering and CompE for computer engineering (unless it’s obvious from the context of the message).
